Annual Slow Food Farm Dinner
THANK YOU.
Our team is incredibly grateful for the support we received at the 2024 Slow Food Farm Dinner to fund the ongoing work of our organization. Thank you to everyone that attended, volunteered, donated, or worked at our event this year.
2024 IN REVIEW
Slow Food Denver is thrilled to announce that the third year of our annual Slow Food Farm Dinner that took place on September 7th, 2024 at MASA Seed Foundation was a huge success. This year we were able to not only reach our funding goals, but surpass them with the outstanding support we received from volunteers, local businesses, and guests.
Our venue, MASA Seed Foundation, was a fellow non-profit working to grow, secure, and preserve seeds acclimatized in our Rocky Mountain region. With a backdrop of the front range, Matt Vawter of Rootstalk and Radicato in Breckenridge prepared a meal sourced with produce from MASA and fruit from the Western Slope all revolving around a hog roast.
The VIP event welcomed guests for a special hour of exclusive experiences. This year, we partnered with Haykin Cider and Id Est’s Wolf’s Tailor to feature their recent collaboration that approaches food waste with creativity. Guests were invited to indulge in Wolf’s Tailor cocktails, sample locally produced Haykin Cider, and savor delectable bites designed by Mara King of Id Est.
General admission guests arrived at the conclusion of the VIP event for a cocktail hour that allowed everyone time to explore the farm and view the food & garden centric silent auction while listening to our band for the evening, Dear Marsha, and enjoying cocktails and mocktails.
Guests then joined Slow Food Denver in the MASA fields to enjoy an open air meal at one long table. The evening was a truly special showcasing of not our organizations ongoing work, but also our community's support of both the event and Slow Food Denver as a whole.
2024 marked our most successful Farm Dinner to date, and we are so excited to build on this success and bring Denver and even more elevated event in 2025. Follow us on social media or subscribe to our newsletter to be the first to hear about next year's rendition of this special event.
OUR 2024 SUCCESS.
Surpassed Funding Goals
Surpassed our goal by nearly 30%
This year we hosted our most successful paddle raise and silent auction to date. Adding this income to our ticket revenue, sponsorships, and wine pull allowed us to bring in funding that surpassed our goals. This funding directly supports our staff and ongoing efforts to bring good, clean, and fair food to all. We are so grateful.
Largest Volunteer Crew To Date
Community, Boulder chapter, Escoffier, and more volunteers
Denver showed up in force to help us with this event. We had volunteers from our community that have been long time volunteers. We also had board members and Slow Food Boulder volunteers. Additionally, Escoffier students and instructors generously donated their time. This event could not have succeeded without the massive help we received.
Multiple High Profile Partners
Matt Vawter, Id Est, Staub, Pinemelon, and more
In 2024, we partnered with multiple exciting establishments both here in Denver and beyond. These partnerships allowed us to elevate our event, while uplifting the work of these businesses. We are grateful for the collaborative efforts and support we received from the Rootstalk team, Wolf's Tailor, Staub, Pinemelon, Haykin, and Wodify.
