A Night to Remember: Slow Food Denver's 2025 Farm Dinner
On September 7, 2025, Slow Food Denver gathered our community for an unforgettable evening at Chatfield Farms, celebrating local food, meaningful connection, and the people who make Colorado’s food system thrive. Set against the backdrop of a working regenerative farm, the 2025 Farm Dinner was a beautiful reminder of what’s possible when land, food, and community come together.
This year’s dinner featured a seasonal, locally sourced menu co-created by Caroline Glover, James Beard Award–winning chef and owner of Annette and Traveling Mercies, and Amy Cohen, co-owner of the beloved Stowaway Kitchen. Drawing inspiration from Colorado’s growers and their own distinctive culinary perspectives, Caroline and Amy crafted a thoughtful, farm-driven meal that honored both place and people. From elegant, ingredient-forward dishes to globally inspired flavors rooted in community, each course told a story of collaboration and care.
Guests were welcomed with a vibrant cocktail hour before gathering inside the historic Deer Creek Stables for a multi-course dinner. VIP guests began the evening with a private farm tour, early access to the space, and specially curated appetizers, cocktails, and music – deepening their connection to Chatfield Farms and to Slow Food Denver’s mission.
Chatfield Farms proved to be a fitting and inspiring setting. Home to the historic Hildebrand Ranch, a solar garden, and vital food access programs serving the local community, the farm embodies the values at the heart of Slow Food Denver: stewardship of the land, equitable food access, and education rooted in experience.
Most importantly, the Farm Dinner was about more than a single evening. Every ticket purchased helped support Slow Food Denver’s work – fueling our Seed to Plate youth cooking and gardening program, expanding FED Community Workshops, and sustaining the day-to-day efforts that move us closer to a future where good, clean, and fair food is accessible to all.
We are deeply grateful to the chefs, farmers, partners, volunteers, and guests who made the 2025 Farm Dinner so special. The energy, generosity, and sense of community shared that night continue to inspire our work.
