About the event
Discover the edible abundance all around you in this two-part foraging series through our FED Workshop programming! Join us for a hands-on experience as we explore the art of foraging, from your own backyard to the wild landscapes of Colorado.
Part 1: Foraging in the Wild, May 15th Venture into nature with Andy from Foraged.com for a wild foraging experience near Chatfield Park. Andy will familiarize you with wild edible plants and foraging concepts through an introduction, then lead an hour-long foraging walk through the natural landscape. Afterward, enjoy a cooking demonstration highlighting the uses of wild-harvested ingredients.
Part 2: Foraging in Your Backyard, May 29th Led by Kate, the Urban Forager, this session will take place at a local farm, where you'll learn how to identify edible plants right outside your door. After an introduction to foraging, we'll embark on a guided hour-long walk to spot backyard, wild edibles.…
